Meaning

Standing in the shade of the Bodhi tree, you feel the air fill with incense smoke and the low, steady murmur of chanting.

Buddhist accounts hold that awakening was attained beneath the Bodhi tree here, and the temple is regarded as one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the tradition.
