From the spot where the mind awakened under a single tree, to an island temple enshrining a piece of the Buddha carried over the water, to a vast stupa blazing gold, and at last to a mountain of awakening raised in stone at the sea's far edge — you pass, one by one, the four places the teaching reached across the southern seas.
