Meaning
From the mountaintop to the sea, nineteen terraces of garden run straight down the slope, and at their center a golden dome rests in stillness.
Revered as one of the spiritual centers of the Baháʼí Faith worldwide, the terraced gardens descend the slope of Mount Carmel around the shrine at their heart. They are inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
